Wu wei is pronounced "woo way," and literally, it translates to something like "non-acting" or "not doing." To the western ear, that might sound like being lazy, but the concept of wu wei is way more nuanced.
 
Wu wei is effortless action. It's the action of non-action. It is action aligned with the Way of the Universe — the Tao. Wu wei is going with the flow, and we experience it (or its absence) all the time.
 
When you're feeling it, that's wu wei. When you feel like you're forcing it, that's not.
 
The good news is that while we sometimes work against the flow, the flow never works against us. It's always available, on tap limitlessly.
